Customising Sidebar Layout

First of all, great to have a sidebar as of today! Thanks for the wonderful update!

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Not a problem per se, more of a want: It would make the sidebar even greater if we had more capabilities for customising its layout and organisation.

Describe the solution you’d like

  • Being able to group some sets/objects together, and collapse/expand as needed.
  • Being able to drag and drop the sets/objects to sort them in a custom way that suits the user best than the default “last seen goes on top”.
  • Being able to reorder the main elements of the sidebar (e.g. Dragging the “History” tree below the “Sets” tree)

Describe alternatives you’ve considered
For specific sets/objects (but a small number of them), one can always mark them as favorites, but this is a very limited alternative as soon as the number of favorites increases.

Additional context
No additional context, I think.

Thanks, Devs. Again, great update already as is!

Please create only one subject per request.

Otherwise it neither help the Devs nor the community to find the topics and process them.

Yeah, that does make sense. I’m also guilty of bunching up items under a same post. My intention is to be practical, but in the end it makes it more messy.

@Diego there’s a tag for Sidebar now, in case you haven’t seen it yet:

@Diego I did a request which I think includes some of what you mention:
