@ commands not working with spaces

WHAT IS THE BUG

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Create a new Object
  2. Use the @ command to add a new Object
  3. Write “next week” or “last month” or anything else with a space
  4. See that there is no date Object suggested

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

A date Object to be suggested to be created as happens when typing “tomorrow”. This is also mentioned in the keyboard shortcuts as listed inside the app, so therefore I expect @ commands to work with spaces.

SYSTEM INFORMATIONS

  • OS:
    Windows 11
  • Device:
    Dell XPS 15
  • Anytype Version:
    0.29-10-beta (still in 0.33.3)

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

Might be related to the Object menu disappearing when you type a space.

This report has been added to our issue tracker and received by the Development Team.

This is still the case in 0.31.54

This seems to be the case with all mentions, not just the date, but reading trough the other thread, you’re probably already aware of that.

Yep, I should generalize this bug report…

Wouldn’t it be better to close it since it’s superseded by the above linked post?

I think it should be registered as a bug even though Razor mentioned this behavior is intended (which led to the Feature Request) as the Anytype docs show this should be possible:

The examples “@three days ago” does not work because it contains a space.
