Collection not sorting objects as expected

WHAT IS THE BUG

I have a Collection with a day object column and I want to sort the collection by the day object names that are always dates with the format YYYY-MM-DD
But the sorting doesn’t work as expected and it mixes the last numbers in an inconsistent way

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

Build a collection like in the description above and apply a sorting for the day object column

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

The sorting of the collection should respect the numbers in the titles of the day object column

Objects in object relation types aren’t sorted alphabetically. They seem to have their own weird sort.

In my understanding that’s a bug. They should definitely be sorted alphabetically.

WHAT IS THE BUG

When I try to reorder the collection views in the drop down menu, they just rearrange themselves into a random order.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

Open the drop down menu for collection views. Click and drag to reorder collection views.

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Should be able to reorder views from the drop down menu, but instead it just arranges them randomly. The ones that were in the correct order beforehand will become disorganised.

ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

It works correctly on the standard (horizontal) menu, but not the drop down menu.

WHAT IS THE BUG

Sometimes when I change a value for some relation in a set/collection, it gets randomly skipping order (I don’t know how to describe this lol).

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

  1. Create a set/collection
  2. Add some objects
  3. Add a status relation and add some options to it
  4. Choose random options for previously added objects
  5. Sort the set/collection by status
  6. Try changing status for one of the objects
  7. Sometimes it jumps one more object that it shouldn’t be jumping

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Describe what you expected to happen:

Thanks @Hexara, please add your vote to this fix.

Also remember to search for topics first better making a new one. It’s better to get cumulative support for a report rather than several of the same thing :busts_in_silhouette::bust_in_silhouette::speaking_head:

@Angelo
You are welcome, I thought the 2 bugs are separate:
Their bug report includes just sorting some objects
My bug report includes changing some relation options

Had similar experience on my MBP…

Had to re-do the sort to get it to move things correctly when sorting my upcoming appointment list by due date.
