Describe the bug
When an inline link is clicked. Sometimes the site opens once. Sometimes multiple times.
In the video i clicked the link twice. It first opened once. On the second click, it opened more than 10 times.
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Paste link
- Click it
- Wait a short time, if just one tab/window opens. Then try again if it is still one.
- OS: Linux
- Anytype Version: 0.18.68
I have some plugins in firefox. But no other application ever had that behaviour.
Sometimes the link is opened multiple times. Then a short time nothing happens and more tabs open
Edit: I just disabled all plugins. Error is still there.
Just tested this on another device. Also Linux. Same behaviour.
If there is a way I can get you some debug information, I am more than happy to help.
Happens on my device too. After trying it for few times it somehow opened 5 tabs.
@kEbZeCK Firefox v91 on Arch Linux.
Yeah just tested on linux, it still happens
Description of Bug
When clicking on a link (not a hyperlink), the website sometimes opens several times.
There seems to be some sort of pattern, but I can’t figure out what it is.
- Paste a link directly into Anytype
- Click on the link
- If this works as intended, click a few more times
• Windows 10 Home, version 10.0.19042 Build 19042
• Anytype version 0.20.9
- Default browser: Microsoft Edge (have not tested with other browsers)

Thank you, hope you have an amazing day/night!
I can confirm this issue:
- Anytype Version: 0.21.9
- Browser: Google Chrome 96.0
- OS: Windows 10 21H1
It looks like the click is counted in the background. If I click the first time, one tab is opened. If I click the second time, two tabs are opened. And so on. If I switch to the start page and go back to the Document containing the hyperlink, the counter is reset (two tabs on first click again). This is happening for links like https://community.anytype.io/ on a Document. The link was not insert as bookmark.
Is fixed in the current releases
