Describe the bug
If I create a date inside a note using the @ symbol (like @yesterday), after a date object is created, I cannot delete nor select it using mouse or backspace. However, if a whole block containing the date is selected, it an be deleted using Backspace.
To Reproduce
Create a note
Add a date using the @ symbol
Try to delete it using backspace
Expected behavior
I should be able to delete and select the date.
System Information:
OS: MacOS 12.3.1 (21E258)
Device Manufacturer/Model: MacBook Pro (13-inch, 2017, Four Thunderbolt 3 Ports)
This bug goes for all @ mentions to objects, not just dates (since it just created an object). And it doesn’t matter if you have the @ mention on it’s own in a block of in the middle of a sentence. When backspacing it stops at the @ mention link.
However, using the delete key when the cursor is in front of the @ mention it does delete it!
So it seems only backspace is affected by this bug!
Hmph - strange. It looks like I can no longer replicate this bug with @mentions to dates and other objects on Anytype 0.26.1 on MacOS 12.4; both backspacing and dragging from one side to the other works to select and delete.
It appears that it has been fixed on the latest versions of both of them. I will close this issue - please reopen it if it happens again.
I’ve also changed the title of your post to reflect that this affects not just @dates, but also all @mentions to objects for better clarity - thank you Jeroen for mentioning that.
