Cannot create objects

WHAT IS THE BUG

Having trouble creating objects such as a page, book or any other object either by using the / command or using the add button on the home dashboard as well. Can create callout, headings and all other options but not objects. In fact, the import function has also stopped importing pages as well. Cannot delete objects in my bin either.

HOW TO REPRODUCE IT

THE EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Create objects.

Very unusual.

I’m not able to reproduce this in 0.31.1 Legacy, nor 0.31.22 Beta.

Let’s come back after the update and check it again!

I reinstalled anytype 0.31.0 and it seems to fix the issue.

  1. Create a Set.
  2. In “Relation” choise “Object Type”.
  3. Try to create a new object, the button does not work.

Additional context:

I wanted to create a Type Set to be my homepage and found this bug.
Filters “Object type”: “has any of” and “has all of” has the same effect.

I can imagine you don’t want to create new Object Types from a Set, but rather in the Library. On the other hand, if the UI allows it, it should work :wink:

Thank you for making me realize my logical error.
The idea was to create an Object of the filtered Type in this specific section, instead of a new Type.
Other forms of Set failed for this purpose and other layouts using pages or collections had too much friction for me; which doesn’t stop me using the app, but makes it slightly more complicated for some older people, for whom I am trying to create new layouts.
