I think that especially for tablet users, or 2 in 1 laptop users, being able to draw or write directly on the screen with a pen would be really useful and huge enhancement to anytype.

The mode of typing would remain the same, when you type it’s formatted the same, but then if you draw on the screen as opposed to typing on the keyboard, it stays. Right now, what I do is draw something in real life, then take a photo of it and upload it to anytype. Which is a roundabout and indirect and time-consuming way of going about it, whereas drawing directly in the app would be great.

I don’t particularly want to switch to other apps that do allow this form of note-taking, for the obvious reason that anytype is just better in most ways, and more private to boot, and is thus preferable even with this feature missing.

But that being said, and another feature that would take this even further, would be to write using the screen and have the text transform into properly formatted text (similar to this: [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PBI7TMwroVg](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/PBI7TMwroVg)). But for me it really is about having drawing as a basic feature, that would be great and already a huge revolutionary step in my note-taking.

Excalidraw as a viable option, this has been implemented in Trilium quite effectively.

The type of pages on which it will be possible to place graphic elements, forming schemes, diagrams, mind maps and the like from them. A good example of this is the Miro online service: True, in Miro, special attention is paid to the possibility of user collaboration; personally, I do not need this opportunity. Basic functionality will be enough. In principle, almost…

I don’t plan on moving away from Anytype as it’s just too useful the rest of the time. I think that’s really the only feature they’re missing (and maybe budgeting features, but that’s another topic).
