Note: this FR is only relevant if sync stops when Anytype is closed (quit)!
WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND
Show a confirmation modal to the user when closing (quit) Anytype to inform if there are unsynced changes.
HOW COULD IT BE DONE
Popup with warning that there are unsynced changes and that quitting Anytype will stop this sync.
REAL WORLD USE CASES
We all want our changes to be saved. A warning that you might cause a sync to be interrupted is very helpful m
More of an addition: show the pending changes to inform the user of the impact and potentially the (estimated) time remaining l.
I feel that the sync status button is not properly reflecting the sync status.i often see that stuff is not ayced yet, but the button turns green anyway.
Great suggestion, this would give the user some ability to help reduce data loss!
How about a button to manually sync.
This might be a source for my sync issues! Didn’t realise this and always Quit Anytype that way.
We are finalising new sync protocol. There should be no such issues in a new version.
What about when editing offline?
They will be stored locally and will sync next time you go online
Of course. Sorry, my question wasn’t well done. I mean the requested message could make sense if you are offline, so that you have in mind it isn’t synced yet. Especially when you are accidentally offline.
