#### WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

As title says. Allow the Date type to have all the functionalities of a normal type, such as being included in a set + being attached to relations. See more here: [Date Is An Object Now! But--](https://community.anytype.io/t/date-is-an-object-now-but/25751)

#### HOW COULD IT BE DONE?

I’m not sure how the back end of all this works, but just make it so that Date can be opened as a normal object, linked to relations, and be included in a set.

#### REAL WORLD USE CASES

“I previously created a new type called “Day.” To it, I have attached a bunch of relations, including productivity rating, events, tasks, mood, menstrual cycle phase, etc. I was waiting for Date as an Object so I could change my current ‘Day’ objects to the new Date object. The problem is that, again, I can’t attach relations or create a set out of this new Date object.” (from link above)

#### RECOMMENDED ALTERNATIVES

See directly above. I had another type created for Day. Works well, except, again, now there’s this weird overlap since ‘Date’ is an 'type"

#### ADDITIONAL CONTEXT

That is all. Thank you.

Yes, I absolutely need this feature!!! I thought in [my previous request](https://community.anytype.io/t/use-one-date-time-system-across-the-whole-app/10631) it was clear enough, but obviously not. Sadly, self-defined date object is not addressed at all in this update.

I want to be able to:

- Enter texts/blocks in the date object, so I can really journal on it.
- Add [Timestamp](https://community.anytype.io/t/item-for-inserting-timestamps-quickly-with-timestamp/10263) to record daily incidents.
- Add relations (Emotions etc.)
- [Open the date object when clicking the data field of a date/time relation in set/collection the date](https://community.anytype.io/t/date-relation-should-create-a-link-relation-to-that-date/25921/1)
- (Acknowledging the work of team) Display the v.0.44.0’s object type things onto the date object (as inline or incorporated object type)

An example of good streamline implementation for note-taking when incorporated with date and time. I used to use NotePlan before Obsidian.

Other relevant feature requests on forum:

- [Daily notes / journal](https://community.anytype.io/t/daily-notes-journal/1215)
- [Journal Type - Can have a daily journal or multiple journals](https://community.anytype.io/t/journal-type-can-have-a-daily-journal-or-multiple-journals/8546)

P.S. v.0.44.0 is not enough to satisfy my [journaling needs](https://community.anytype.io/t/effective-journaling-practices-for-better-life-quality/9750/4)… I really thought date object would empower me to a new and efficient year with Anytype 🥲…

While this would be useful for any relation my post you linked there was about something else though 🙂 (but it is perhaps a requirement for your bullet point, indeed)
But even so, all our separate posts are mostly about one thing: that date behaves like another type. ✌
