Ability to customize Home Screen

Moderator note: Because of the earlier date, the first post here is actually a less broad request than the second. The second post describes the request more fully.

Not much of a problem but more of a quality of life improvement. I feel that it’d be great to move the Recents tab contents inside the search view and remove it from the dashboard.

Describe the solution you’d like

It’d be great to have only the “Inbox”, “Favorites” and the “Archives” tab in the homepage. The blocks in the “Recents” tab is better suited to be displayed as the recent items in the search pop-up before the user enters the search text. Moving it inside the search view also enables users to access their recent page list from any pages by clicking in the search box. Also I feel it would be great for the user experience if the first tab in the homepage is the favorites tab. So when a user opens anytype, they’d be in their last edited page and when they get back to the homescreen, their favorite pages are listed (It used to be as such in the previous versions if i remember correctly) along with a list of all unarchived pages in the “Inbox” tab and the list of all archived pages in the “Archived” view

Not really, only something that could be changed to fit better to everyone. The different tabs in the homescreen of the app in the android version is great, and quite useful from my point of view, but I think that being able to change the tabs, the order or the main tab that appears when using the app could be better for different workflows. For example, now the main tab is the inbox, and I’m sure lot of people love this feature, but I’d prefer to have my favorites at first glance, as I designed my homescreen and favorites to be a quick index of my notes

Describe the solution you’d like

A clear and concise description of what you want to happen.

Describe alternatives you’ve considered

Any changing option, could be as easy as adding a way to change the order or move the tabs around, or even add an option to delete or hide some of the views while promoting the others.

Totally agree that we should be able to customize the first scree we see more.

In the meantime I think most people would find their favorites as a first page to be ideal, me included.

I made a similar suggestion in this request:

https://community.anytype.io/d/563-moving-recent-pages-inside-search-popup

However, The main topic of the request is different. But both talks about modifying the home screen so I guess it would be better to merge any one of them into the other
